Ballistic Shield Training
With the increased threats police officers face, whether during civil unrest or simply a routine call, a modern ballistic shield can help keep them safer. It’s impossible to learn how to use a shield just by reading about it, just as it’s impossible to learn how to play a sport just by reading about it. In this course we will cover some best practices which should apply no matter what type of shield you’re using. This a Train the Trainer instructor course which is designed to teach the student various methods of ballistic shield use during tactical clearing. This includes firearms drills with the shield, the use of one and two officer shield teams, and the use and construction of a tactical mirror.
